Museum at the Chapel, Wheathill Lane, Milborne Port
The Museum at the Chapel was officially opened in April 2017 and since then we have been lucky enough to receive many donations and loans of items relating to the history of the village. One of the latest additions to the Museum is the ‘Richard Duckworth Collection’. As you might know, Richard has been compiling an astonishing record of the village and he has entrusted it to our safe keeping. Not all of it is in the Museum as yet as we are considering the best way of displaying this wonderful record.
We open the Museum every Sunday afternoon – 2.30-4 pm – from the end of May to the end of August. However, if you would like to arrange a private visit at any other time, please contact Lesley Wray: lesmik71@gmail.com. We are very pleased to be able to say that our museum is wheelchair accessible.

Can you help? Do you have a few hours to spare one Sunday afternoon (2.30-4.00 pm) between 29th May and 28th August? The museum will be open to the public at these times with a member of the Committee on duty but it would great to have another history-minded person to keep us company. If you are willing, please let us know by contacting Lesley Wray: lesmik71@gmail.com.
